I don't know if that would be inappropriate, but I could imagine Sev continue teasing Tari after she says "shut up" and when she tells him "I said, shut up!", he would just mouth the words "I wasn't _saying_ anything :P"
I mean I think close friends are comfortable enough with each other for such jokes? ^^

Potentially!! He does have to turn his powers on in order to pick up on people's thoughts, but right after he's explained that you'll never notice when he does that, that might not be,,,, quite as reassuring,,,

Vote incentive: this is exactly what I've been thinking ever since I realised there's something between Tarri and Xira and I've been waiting for Xira casually mind-reading in order to find someone or find a route etc and then suddenly hearing Tarri go "damn he got a booty".
