I'm not sure if Sev objects to having two costumes from the same movie (in which case going as Pascal wouldn't help) or just to somebody else dressing as the same character, so maybe Jonan also tried to dress as Aladdin.

I like to imagine Sev just burst into the room and yelled "NOBODY DO ANYTHING FROM ALADDIN OKAY" and then left
Jonan sighed and decided that the less Sev interacted with him, the better

I'm guessing Jonan's original choice was Jafar? If he changed his so Sev could have that movie?
