Gonna just leave the vote incentive, so it's still a preview of my piece for the African Fairy Tales Anthology for the moment!
It might have been that the healer was mentally turning them away as much as physically, (subconsciously)forcing Xira out of his head. Just a theory... :)

I kinda assume it's a proximity thing. Mindreading would be wayyyyy overpowered if you could just kinda.... read the mind of whomever you're thinking about, but at the same time it would be sorta weird if you could just hold up a sheet of lead Order-of-the-Stick-style and prevent yourself from being scanned by someone standing right there. xD

Hmmm... Was it the slamming of the door (causing a physical block between the two) that caused the psychic disconnect or is it a proximity thing?
