Am I the only kid who was disconcerted that bad guys like Skeletor always seem to be able to enunciate perfectly? What, "He-Man?" You can't say "MAN." YOU DON'T HAVE ANY LIPS.

...Not sure how well a handflap works with tentacles, hm. But yes, given that magic is somewhat unpredictable, and that Severian likes trying crazy things, I'm sure he's had stuff like this happen before!

I think if I were in that situation I'd be freaking out. Freaking out would be an extreme understatement, actually. Then again, I'm not a shapeshifter. XD
