I mean to be fair, Tareth and Sev both use handsign routinely, so she might just be more observant about hands?
But yeah I too totally missed the finger thing until I read the pinky grip strength comment!

Lessons I have just learned, thanks to today's installment:
1. Even if you don't want random passersby to notice your friend, who is now an aberrant, DO NOT try to shove him back into anywhere.
2. If you happen to have the bad luck to run into a facestealer and it manages to steal a body part, you will not bleed to death and it will probably be more surprising than painful - hey, silver lining!
3. Tareth is a much more observant person than I am (and I thought I was a very observant person, so now I'm going to have to redouble my observing efforts).
I guess this last one isn't so much a lesson as it is an observation, however . . .
Also, I really love Xira running through the panel border - very creative! (I almost made an "outside the box" joke, but I managed to hold myself back!)
And Sev's multitude of eyes, in the third panel, all look so worried, sad, frightened, and lost, that I really want to give him a big hug right now . . . except, you know, lesson number 1.
