Aw, another paper ball to add to the collection. :( It suddenly struck me how much pressure Quentin must be feeling at the age of twenty-three and already head of the Order. And I don't know how he got there in the first place, but whether it was luck, birthright, or genius (though I'm slightly inclined toward birthright given that his name is literally Agorath), he has way too much on his shoulders. I wonder if he feels constantly patronised by his own age and lack of experience and tries to compensate by working himself to death.

There are some things you feel like you'd know - if you were any older, wiser, or smarter. It can drive you crazy if that really gets to you. Every moment you have to suffer being unable to solve a problem is a moment of intense self-disappointment. I know some people like that, and I hope Quentin isn't one of them. :(

At least Esra seems to understand. Or at least respect his need for time and singular focus.

Also holy mackerel the hair is unbelievably good this chapter. LOOK AT ESRA'S HAIR! I see why he straightens it now. Imagine running your hand through THAT silk.
