Well, technically he didn't offer to help them yet. So who knows what will happen once you are inside a pissed off necromancer's lair?
Though that "fine, just let's get this done and I'll never have to see you again and I'm changing the password" expression in the last panel suggests he's going to help.

The best part of any story is always when the really, really, really grouchy mean guy gets humbled at least to the degree that he actually finally offers to help out the good guys. The fact that he'd never actually admit to said humbling only makes it better. Also, he should totally give his servant a raise because his servant is clearly VERY dedicated to his job!
Of course, the OTHER side of the coin might be that they now know the password, so they technically coulda followed him in ANYWAY, so maybe he's just trying to keep the upper hand.
